Just as a footnote to the previous comment, a survey commissioned by CMCA shows that RV tourists, even those in self-contained RVs, use commercial caravan parks on a regular basis. In fact, 1 night is spent in a commercial establishment for every 2.1 nights in a
rest area (Balfour Consulting undertook the survey – published by the CMCA).
